[PROGRAM] YS Sandbox

Post by Ray » Thu Dec 20, 2012 10:39 am

Releasing YSF Sandbox,
YSF-Sandbox.exe is a complete copy of ysflight, one you run the .exe it copies all the ysflight files to your desktop for testing addons or just playing around without affecting your real ysflight installation. To remove just delete the "YSF Sandbox" desktop folder, Simple!

Should be useful for any type of ysflight modder who wants to test there addons.

This is cool and all, but is it okay to be repackaging the YSF Exe's like this?

Or does it just steal the ones you already have in program files folder? :?:
I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

Either way I don't see much point, you'll just end up using more disk space that could be used for valuable porn. 8-)
When I tried my hand at modding I just made a duplicate install but removed all of the defaults(except Hawaii) and mods. One map and no crafts aside from what I was working on was plenty to get the job done... Also it loaded in the blink of an eye. ;)get it... *blink*
Time is the best teacher, unfortunately it kills all of it's students.

All I done was install YSFlight (Download.com) version, then rename some files for user friendliness. Then I copied all these ysflight files for the installer. Once I sorted out that the .exe will place all these files on desktop I was pretty much done. Just a simple tool for developers.

Omni, I guess I could have cut out most of the aircraft and maps but its only about 8MB so I wasn't to bothered. I guess this tool isn't for everyone but I find it useful.

Hey, if its useful for you, then I see no reason to discourage you from using it. :)
