Any ideas on getting clouds to work in OpenYS?

YSFlight already has clouds, GL1 and D3D have a mesh style cloud while GL2 has textured clouds.

There are no clouds in multiplayer.

it could be done using ground objects and moving them along a motion path. Creating my own on the server can't be done though unfortunately.

But with so many clouds wouldnt the game start to lag for some people? also what about collisons for the cloud?

Probably.

Here is my dirty hack for disable clouds on Client-side of YSFlight.

Cloudless YSFS
Cloudless YSFS -- scenery list for YSFligh, that remove (temporary) clouds from stock sceneries.

You could apply it to any scenery, but firstly read README.txt inside this ZIP-archive. This is not final release, so can include some mistakes.

Absolutely.

EDIT: Heads up about the "replacement" cloudless option above - it will remove all the ground object references as well if they are contained in a YSF file. This will affect maps like ISLAND_GOURD for example. Be mindful, and be ready to restore your default YSF after.

Hi Flake, hi all

Something here is wrong with turning off missles ect on my server. Unguide weapons like MG is possible to turn off. I dont know where is problem. All other work perfect.

Waypons. Missiles = False ( but still work ;( )
Weapons. Unguided = False ( disabled - all fine)

Any ideas?

• What version of OYS?
• What version of YSFlight?
• What Operating System?
• Is there a particular missile? Does this work when just launching a missile without a lock? How about launching with a lock?

When im connect from the game - infos:

SERVER NET-VERSION 20180930
CLIENT NET-VERSION 20180930

The server allow AAM/AGM (sic! ignore my False)
The server doesent allow unguided weapons (here is all ok and fine)

I've had the same issue all along. You can turn off one type of weapon, but the other type will always work even if set to false.

Is 20161023(2339) the latest version that you are using also? I might see if I can push a quick update for this.

I am using version 20161123(2054)_ALT.

Earlier and later versions both had issues of aircraft that take off not being visible to players already flying.

This is after installing addons and running openys. I'm hoping this is because of something on my end.

Bug Fix Version 20210623(2027)

NOTE: DOES NOT EXTEND CURRENT PROJECT THREAD, EXTENDS 20161123(2054)_ALT.
(So don't download if you are using the current OYS Versions!)

Changes:
+Alternate version of above - this fixes the symbol loading for DLL files, means debug information for me should no longer show "line 0 column 0" for most errors; I might be able to actually fix problems on this stub.

Notes:
Still heaps a bugs, but it should be an improvement.
