I seem to have fixed the errors loading GACrp and the like - the server failed to read certain encodings, and I never thought to check how YSF would handle it. Turns out the aircraft name is truncated when the first bad character is met. I have adopted the same policy and now the server appears to be loading fine.

Next release, which can be now if you want. I wanted to fix the flares issue but I don't quite know how that is done. *shrug*

Hell, let's do it now.

Gimme 5.

Now Updated to Version 20150901(2238)

Changes:
+SHOULD have fixed the way OYS handles aircraft names using non-alpha-numeric characters. I beleive this is now consistant with how YSFlight reads them. By the way - YS doesn't seem to accept the non-alphanumeric aircraft id tags anymore - a warning to modders out there.
~Because of the above, I've chaged the way the aircraft list loads. Let me know if your aircraft doesn't exist anymore.
-Removed Nukes

Notes:
Initial Flares > 20 issue not solved yet. Also could not reproduce fuel errors with NCA-777. OYS does not force .dat variables, so be sure your .dat is the same as the servers!

Vic Viper wrote:In my experience, the server warns me that I'm not doing anything (although I'm actively flying and making inputs) Right before this my ys chat no longer works, and everything I type doesn't show up for me or others, then 60 seconds pass, and I get kicked.
Allow me to explain this:

The server runs all it's maintenance checks on it's own thread, 10 times a second in a loop I call a "microtick". This method checks if a client hasn't sent data to the server for 60 seconds+, and warns and eventually kicks them.

The clients all run on their own threads, and receive data and update themselves to say "okay, the last time I got data was at X time..."

Your problem was that the thread for the client crashed due to some error I do not yet know. So though your socket still existed and was never closed, the server thread that was unaffected never got any more packets from you - so it thought your intenet connection dropped. It eventually disconnected you.

If you can reliably make this happen, please tell me what you do and I can try and reproduce and solve.

Turns out I can write directly to the windows event log. I might just do that for ALL exceptions in future - crashes, disconnections, etc. An idea for later.

I've seen people kicked in mid-flight while on autopilot, and on the ground taxing. I am worried it might be random.

This problem didn't seem to exist with the 20150825(1139) version. That version was quite stable as far as I could tell.

What about using the starburst/fireworks as a replacement for the mini gun explosions?

Also how about seperating the rudder controls from wheels when on the ground.

Sorry if this is coming off as a request...

Z => Z position along the ground in meters to launch from.
H => How high the firework will explode, in meters.
S => The size of the resultant firework starburst.

/Starburst X Y Z S

X=> X position along the ground in meters to explode from.
Y=> height in meters to explode from.
Z=> Z position along the ground in meters to explode from.
S=> The size of the resultant firework starburst.
