Think most of us not very interested is there background image on site or not.VNAF ONE wrote:Remember guys, the screenshot contest to change the forum's background is nearing and there's only 2 submissions.
Also, think, did we really need any background on forum?

Re: Screenshot Contest Discussion
Honestly hard to promote the power of YSF with just stock addons.
I am still interested in this and I might provide some contributions soon.
If I make an EDITED screenie suitable for the browser would that be okay?
My understanding is that the Image is set to FILL - ie: 100% vertical height and the width just overflows/underflows? but the image is centered?
I'll make things at 1920*1080 and maybe submit the edits in the editted screenies thread for review later. We'll see what people think.
If it were me, I'd rather a billion options to choose from then maybe 2/3.

Re: Screenshot Contest Discussion
There's no specific rule on the topic saying you can't edit or use addons so assume if it's not on there that you can't, then it's okay to do. Of course it still says no inappropriate stuff, etc so don't take that too far

Re: Screenshot Contest Discussion
I was online with Dan and David and saw an opportunity for a screenshot, so I took it and added it to my post.VNAF ONE wrote:Ya, for this there's not really any limit on submissions because a poll will be put up later on.

Also remember, this is the discussion thread and the other is the submission thread. Try not to get them confused.

Re: Screenshot Contest Discussion
You may only vote for 1 choice so choose wisely! Runner-ups may be considered for later contests/uses with permission of the submitter.
No more submissions are allowed at this point and will not be considered in the poll.
Remember, the winning screenshot will go on the background of YSFHQ so consider that when voting. Have fun and good luck to all the participants!

Re: Screenshot Contest Discussion
Probably possible, but we want to know what you think is the best. That way we have a ranking for the images and if we can't have multiple ones, we get the best.BARRACUZ wrote:Is it possoble to have more than one and have them alternate every time you visit the site?

Re: Screenshot Contest Discussion
After reconsidering my choices a few times, I shortlisted 3 screenies which IMO are the best composed and most appropriate:
- Virtual Airlines Activity - Patrick31337
- Blues Over Vuelo Beach - OfficerFlake
- Yemen Valley - Robert Sanderson
Blues Over Vuelo Beach - OfficerFlake
-mostly because it's a more cheerful looking because of the bright sky, added in with VNAF's Vuelo Beach.
Mein Imgur gallery. Feel free to use any of my screenshots (Crediting me is optional, but greatly appreciated)

Re: Screenshot Contest Discussion
I think the isometric style top down views are working best. UK Heathrow by Pat looks amazing.
