Idea: IATA and ICAO codes for Virtual Airlines

Post by ZyreaxGaming_YT » Thu Mar 02, 2017 7:19 pm

I had this idea today to possibly set up an IATA, ICAO, and Callsign system for YS to use on flights.
Here are some test examples.
Palm IATA: Fl
Palm ICAO: FLA
Callsign: SolarBear
Telephony Pronunciation: Solar Bear 320
Palm Air would have the telephony designation of Solar Bear. I think it would be pretty neat if this could work out and hopefully it may help make Virtual Airline flying more realistic. Feel free to post ideas for your own codes and designations for your VA on this topic!

-----------------------------------------------
Mod note: The callsign part is just "Solarbear". 320 of course is the flight number. Just a friendly FYI for future VA callsigns.

I think this is a good idea now that there many VAs but as far as callsigns go, it would be helpful to whoever's doing ATC if you kept it one simple word (at most two simple). That's how a callsign should be anyway. Moa's callsign of "Redwing" is a perfect example.

I suggest Palm Air and YSBRA have a word for their callsign instead of letters. Thanks for your understanding. :)

My general rant: I will call them blended winglets, not Sharklets; There is no CEO, it's just simply put, an Airbus 319/320/321, or the 320NEO, 321NEO etc. I didn't land IN OKC, I landed AT OKC. On the other hand, I did land in Oklahoma City.
