It was OK, if a bit disordered. Could ATC check the situation first before giving instructions?

OK in my defense you were already enroute to GCRR and asking GCRR for vectors but there was no GCRR twr.

But I too should have been more prepared. I didn't have some aircraft installed  so I assumed you were one of the block aircraft entering my airspace and so I responded your call. If I would have known it was you I would have ignored you.

Just kidding...but yeah if I would've helped you better if I knew what you were flying. Totally a mistake on my end and I apologize.

Psst: please don't tell Tfan...

Also thank for your input guys.

same here, just as BARRACUZ said, we should have been more prepared....... I had kept Dan's map as a desktop wallpaper :P , but it did not help me.... :(

when YSFan had enquired about directions, i could not locate his position, hence i entered in a cessna(?) and use the 3 function... (if i remember correctly) :P :)

The best way to assist in finding a pilot's location is to enter in Observer Mode. Then you can shift through all users' aircraft using the F5 key until you find them, and then use the navigation system and mini map to help locate them.

Or if soji could implement names to aircraft and nav aids in the radar...
