[JUNE 7] Sky Surfer Fly-In (SSAS)

Post by Ace Lord »

That's right Ladies & Gents, we are back with another show just in time for Summer.
This time around we are hosting the show at Area 51, perhaps the least-secret of secret military installations here in the states. Located about an hour or so North of Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a themed event focusing on Sci-Fi planes, Black Projects, and UFOs, but all participants and planes are welcome to sign up for demos. We do have a few themed flights requiring volunteer pilots, so PM me if interested in filling a role.

Hmmmm, Its going to be close with other events I have on. Ill see what I can do before I sign anything up. If I do it might have to be a late one. But looking forward to it!
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for my signature, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have imagined having over a very long career. Skills that make me are completely useless in any situation. If you stop reading now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't stop reading, I will look for you, I will probably not find you, and I will kill your refrigerator.

This will be interesting. I'll be moving in the Middle of May, so I don't know if my Internet will be set up in my new apartment by then. If not, then good luck to all the demo teams.

Aircraft: Harrier Jump Jet
Demo Name: Harrier GR7 Demo
Length of Demo: 11 minutes
Music: *will add when uploaded and finishing touches made*
Aircraft DL Link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/gzzu4uo3mmy/RAF.zip
Participants: Doggeh
My timezone: GMT

EDIT: Ace Lord asked for some more information for narration, so here is some about the Harrier - The Harrier GR7 can only carry 1 pilot. It is a small aircraft, with just 30ft wingspan and an 11ft height. It's maximum speed is just over 660 MPH, although it did go faster during testing. The Harrier can perform vertical take offs and landings, although it was retired from service by the RAF in 2010, and the USAF and RAF are replacing the aging Harrier with the F-35 Lightning. The Harrier played a vital role during the Falklands War, being able to perform missions and fly in conditions no other aircraft could. It has been used in other conflicts, most recently Afghanistan, but has also performed missions in Iraq, patrolling no-fly zones.

5/13/14 -- Schedule updated with current attendees. I have also decided to not make a signup form, but rather to continue with the reply-to-register format.

Also, please type up and send me some kind of narration material so I do not have to ad-lib everything or use Wikipedia extensively. If you or someone else is narrating, that information would also be handy on my end.

I do not think the map is released yet. Crow still has work to do with it.

Scarecrow is supposed to be adding ground objects to the map, since neither myself or DT can get Scenery Editor to cooperate.

I have enlisted the help of another user to try and make the map airshow ready within a week. Please continue to sign up via topic reply, but try to cut out large graphics from your posts.
