YSAirshows presents...

Image
Saturday, October 18th
11:00 AM CST / 12:00 PM EST / 4:00 PM GMT

Prepare for one of the largest and most historic air shows of the year...YSAirshows announces the 8th annual YSFlight International Air Show on Saturday, October 18th! Aircraft and performers will fly over the skies of the Gatwick Airport outside of London, England as you witness a virtual aviation spectacle unmatched by any other flight simulator community in the world! See the agility of some of the most high performance aerobatic aircraft, military fighter jets, thunderous pistoned powered warbirds, and beautiful jet formation aerobatics and more, headlined by the YS famous Blue Dolphins Jet Team!

CONNECTION INFO
YS : SCSERVERYS.DDNS.NET
TS : TS.YSFHQ.COM

PERFORMER REGISTRATION
Want to fly at this years event? If so, all you need to do is to complete the following form!

A separate entry is required for each display. Solo displays (single-aircraft) are limited to one (1) per person. However, formation or multi-ship displays are unlimited and highly encouraged. If you would like to fly an additional solo routine (such as a flyby, novelty act, etc.) that would give the show further variety, please let us know your intentions in the "additional information" section of the form. Having trouble with the form or registering for an act? E-mail us! - [email protected]
VIEWING DETAILS
The air show flying will begin approximately 11:00AM CST or 12:00PM EST (5:00PM GMT) and will run for around 4 hours. Teamspeak 3 will be provided for professional air show narration and music. While being on Teamspeak is not required, it is highly recommended to be familiar with changes, information, and the show's itinerary. You can download the Teamspeak 3 client at http://www.teamspeak.com

Unless flying as part of an act or performer, all attendees will remain in the observer mode feature of YSFlight for the duration of the show. F9 is our show center viewpoint and F10 from that position requires a great view. Also various end of runway F6 points are featured as the aircraft fly the showline. As a friendly note, Shift+F9 will toggle through the airplanes in the air at the particular time.

The air show will be using the most up-to-date network console for the server. This is usually compatible with any YSFlight versions you may have but may feature some minor defects. We recommend the newest version currently available at http://www.ysflight.com.
AIR SHOW SCHEDULE
The schedule of performers and line-up may change at any time without notice.

PILOT INFORMATION
The primary show-line for maneuvers will take place over RW08L/RW08R, the closest (smaller) runway to the crowd-area. Most smaller aircraft can land on this strip, however larger aircraft such as cargo and fighter aircraft may be better suited for RW26L/RW26R, the larger runway. Please be aware and cautious of the two blue buses on white tarp which signifies show center. These may be easily hit by the wingspans of larger aircraft.

There shall be no takeoffs or landings on the ramp/tarmac parking areas unless pre-arranged with the show coordinators. The primary runways for takeoffs includes RW26L and RW08R for shorter taxi-distance times. RW26R and RW08L are also available. The secondary showline for flat passes/banana passes will be the inboard taxi way - which also is recommended for smaller aerobatic type performances.

Tigershark, that's gonna be interesting. I LOVE new ideas at air shows. Spices things up a bit.

Standby for the return of a favorite!

The Firestorm Demo Team's infected giant is coming...

Whether or not the whole team will be there is questionable, depending on our practice schedule.

Take my name off the list for now. I'm unsure if I can fly. I want to but I may be busy

This airshow, I might not be able to make it to. I wish we had a Saturday show and a Sunday show. just something for people who couldn't make it to the Saturday airshow. I have missed all of the airshows due to something messing up with my computer. This time I will miss the show on the 18th. I have plans for that date that are important. I will miss the show but I surely hope I can make at least one eventually.

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for my signature, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have imagined having over a very long career. Skills that make me are completely useless in any situation. If you stop reading now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't stop reading, I will look for you, I will probably not find you, and I will kill your refrigerator.

Scarecrow you need to change the rules. there might be some people who could make this airshow awesome with more than one solo demo of flight. I'm just saying. And please reschedule it to a later time. I'm unable to fly the 18th.

Blackhawk, I'm sorry you can't make the show, but there will be other events that you can attend. Please do not a organizer change their dates (that probably work within their personal schedule), just to accommodate your own attendance. I wouldn't do it for myself (and I've missed a few because of it). Mobiyus is running an air show portion of his YSRS racing event on the 19th and you may be able to make that.
