[JUNE 18-19] YSFlight International Air Show 2011 (YSAS)

Post by Scarecrow » Thu Apr 28, 2011 1:07 am

5th Annual
YSFLIGHT INTERNATIONAL AIR SHOW

June 18th & 19th
Gatwick Airport
12:00pm CST/1:00pm EST

Presented by YSAS

Image

Join us June 18th & 19th for the 5th annual edition of the YSFlight International Air Show (YSIA)! The air show, which holds historic records for YSFlight's largest and most succesful events, will feature aerobatic and military performances by community members as well as formation display flights.

The event will take place at the Gatwick Airport in England. Aircraft will stage and fly at the airfield. Interested performers should have their requests in before Wendesday, June 15th.

As always, the show starts at 12:00pm CST/1:00pm EST & the admission is always free.

Notice! This show will have some "weather". The server will have 3 miles of visibility for the show, thus making this a low/flat show event. Arrange and execute your performance to eliminate most vertical maneuvers if all possible. This is to change things up a bit.

All added.

Remember there will be 3 miles visibility on the server, so weather/cloud cover will be going on. If you're flying a real display, search to see it's low/flat/rolling show routine. If not, plan accordingly.

No Dogtag is not related to the Rhino Demo. It's an entirely different two-ship display.

Count the Sky Surfer team in for the usual two-ship, although flying in poor conditions will negate my ability for a head-on pass with the C-17. Since I've pulled from the Stone Lake show, I will bring my Polikarpov I-16 demo to this event as well.

Expect to have final revisions to the Sky Surfer planes later today.

Zak,

The Red Eagles are not part of the show line up at the moment.

We place you where we feel is necessary in the line-up, thus we will make the decisions on where you will be at.

Sign up the Red Eagles please. Also the red eagles have changed i am making them a Syncronisation team!
Also a MAYBYE demo from the British Glider Aerobatic Duo. with Wolfman and I.
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for my signature, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have imagined having over a very long career. Skills that make me are completely useless in any situation. If you stop reading now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't stop reading, I will look for you, I will probably not find you, and I will kill your refrigerator.

Crow, any chance you could sign up the YSRAAF Golden Saints for a 15-20 minute replay demonstration? I know you're a bit iffy on replays, but from what you've seen in the past, I think it's worth it. ;) ;)

Crow you'll know what I mean by this but can we run into something a little different this year? I'm not sure if it's been tried but you know how Indy has always had the WWII flybys and pyro and then later the same for all the Vietnam birds? What if we did the same but in a little different style such as taking on an international battle like the Battle of Britan, Bombing of Berlin/London, Korean War, or any engagement that would be able to get some of our players the chance to see their country flybys in history such as Britan, France, or even our Japanese friends. Just something that could create a sort of break in the show, get people involved and excited, and also be fun.

Crow,

With the flat show, is there going to be cloud or just visibility, and can you confirm the altitude of the ceiling in feet (15k?)

My show is a middle height. Should work fine though (was testing in fog earlier.)
