Installing Decaff's Addons

I know there's an instruction page for this but I can't get it to work- I've been trying for about 2 hours, and I can't get the F-20 to appear in the selection menu. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong- I put the aircraft folder in the aircraft directory and the user folder in the YSF directory. Nothing seems to work...

It's the All-In-One download pack.

Put the contents of the addon's aircraft folder in the YS aircraft folder, not the folder itself

I see what's going on. It may be an issue that only affects Windows and Linux users, since this pack was put together on OSX.

In the decaff pack LST (list files) instead of space there are _ (underscores)

"user/decaff_42/f-20/f-20c_clean.dat_user/etc etc"

If you delete the _ underscores after each file location in the LST then they will load. I know that's a lot of work, but I'm not sure when Decaff can get around to reuploading a fix.

It worked! However, I'm now getting "Load Error (VISUAL):./user/decaff - I'll wager that this time I did something dumb here.

Probably just missed a few underscores. You'll get that error if say, it can load the dat, but not the dnm. Remember don't delete the underscore in "Decaff_42".

New issue- on opening YSF, I receive: Load Error (COLLISION):./user/decaff_42/f-20/coarse_f-20c.srf. I bet, once again, I did this. Sorry for screwing this up so many times, your help is much appreciated.

Try install Decaff's All-In-One Addon Pack (remove its folder & install it again) using "Addon Linux Converter" script:

NOTE: "Addon Linux Converter" script written by Decaff, but there is also similar script (but less powerful) written by Soji Yamakawa:

So, try Decaff's "Addon Linux Converter" firstly!

Yes, this script should works for all platforms.

On Windows You just need install Python:

• https://www.python.org/downloads/windows/

(on Linux Python installed by default)

I got the F-20 working!! It turns out I had accidentally added another .dnm to the .dnm files- thanks to everyone for your help.

It looks like the filepaths were fiddled with due to my python code to adapt structures for linux. I'll have to do a patch and update the download links for my site
