Can you Display the HUD on the glass?

Post by Deleted User 4817 » Sun Jan 03, 2021 6:58 pm

Is there any way to get the HUD display onto the the glass bit (is it called the combiner?) in the aircraft?

Unfortunately no. The HUD is hardcoded. There are some ways to approximate HUDs with animations, but they are very limited. The only way to move the HUD to the combiner is to move the first cockpit view to right in front of the combiner, which is kind of an awkward viewpoint

Or you could take the Violet route and make actual physical HUD glass just for YS. The more complicated the pathway, the funnier the outcome.

Not sure I could do it on the combiner. Too much reliance on occlusion for a transparent background

 you could avoid the camera angle problem by setting it to instrument panel as opposed to HUD and then putting a system similar to the f5 with the radar panel onto the combiner
