[Linux] Game segfault with stack smashing detected

I'm on Arch Linux, with YS Flight 2015 04 25, 64bits GL 2.
It already happened sometimes, the game crashes with these last output lines:

Code: Select all

*** stack smashing detected ***: terminated
Aborted (core dumped)
I attach the full log of my last game.
It seems to happen while I'm choosing an airplane and preview many models, but it's also quite random.

When I got that, I was playing on Linux with addons made from Windows, I hadn't given attention to the errors it occasioned, that may be the source of the problem since now that I use some tools (FAT32 partition, addon_to_linux) it never crashed again.

I run into those all the time if I use the linux native binaries. Honestly, just use the windows executables through Wine for the time being.

Maybe someone from the YSCEDC will be able to fix the issue at some point in the future. You could make an issue on their issue tracker for the time being, trying to be as elaborate as possible on the circumstances under which the problem occurs.

From memory I recall that addons trigger the problem significantly faster.

I haven't seen anything like that (yet)

I'm using BodhiLinux 5.1 based off ubuntu 18.04 and YSFlight compiled from the github source with a change to set specular to 0 in rendering with gl2

I really don't push the game as hard as I might with dogfights, etc.
memory leak in handling scenery?
I haven't pushed the scenery side of things that hard either

I'll keep my eye out though

After some tests, I've found the 2 planes which cause this, the MIG-35 VVS and the F/A-18 Super Hornet(4)(VFA-pukindogs) from the BNI pack.
