Best YSFlight version for addons?

Post by rodsantos » Sun Mar 06, 2016 5:10 am

Does anyone know what the best version of YS is for using addons? The one I'm using right know says it can't open any of the ones I've downloaded.

What does the error actually say?

I suggest getting the latest (2015) release of YSF because of map compatibility.

If you are getting an error, it is likely caused by the addon being installed improperly or a careless mistake by the creator of the addon.

What addon is giving you a problem, and what does the error message say?

Put the aircraft list into aircraft folder and user folder (example: NajmiCreative) to user folder.
If you install scenery, do the same things.
Good luck ;)

The A380 is ahead of its time. With the resilient passenger traffic growth for times to come (reference from Airbus's Global Market Forecast), plus congested airports, the A380 could not be ignored.

Well, I downloaded version 20141222 (according to my Mac), and I've tried plugging TF58's, Zakhanger's, and YS Major's packs into it.
My version does not seem to be able to open any of their aircraft.

Howdy fellow Mac user! There are two ways to install addons on a Mac: locally within a version of YSFlight, or globally for all YSFlight versions on your computer. I'd recommend checking out this getting started guide: http://www.mediafire.com/download/lli7d ... ac_OSX.pdf

It may be that you have a problem with \ vs / in the lst files, but that is covered in the guide.
