Take a look at the LST file that accompanies the addon package. Open it in notepad and you should see the expected filepath to find the F-18s. Make sure you place the addon files into the indicated position.

I am having a similar problem. I verified the locations were correct, but the problem persists (then again, they were in the right spot in the first place). Is the location case sensitive? Do I need a /user file and a /User file (to save editing half of those .lst files)?
I also opened up a .dat file of an OEM F-5 and one of the problematic F/A-18E's and compared them. They seem very *similar*, but I know how picky code can be.
Does anybody have suggestions?

I downloaded and checked but before i added them into the root folders i just went and modified the
.lst files with the changes from
User to
user and renamed the folder from
User to
user
so probably (i dont know though/i dont think so) they are case sensitive....test it and let us know
EDIT: A follow up of what was posted by
NightRaven below,
use
user instead of
User and '
/' (backslashes)

What OS are you running? If it is Windows the folders 'user' and 'User' are recognised as the same folder; in OSX and Linux they are recognised as 2 different folders. Then you would have to check which fall under 'user' and 'User'. I would also recommend checking whether backslashes (/) or forward slashes(\) are used. Again, Windows accepts both, while OSX and Linux accept only backward slashes. If anything you can edit the lst file and batch replace the words and slashes to make them work.

I'm running MacOS X.10, so that is probably what is wrong. I'll try fixing it this afternoon and seeing if that works.
Thank you to both of you for such speedy replies!
Edit: Changed case, verified case matches in the .LST files, and .DAT's are still no-go. There are several authors affected, but I noticed that HQPGAC one of them, with nearly all aircraft (if not all) sharing the same gripe.
