Deleting pack aircraft?

How do I go about deleting unwanted aircraft from a pack? I've tried removing the files and the respective lines from the "air_(pack).lst" files, but I still get "cannot load (aircraft)" on startup. What am I doing wrong?

You only need to remove the air*.lst file. If you get an error on startup, you removed the wrong .lst file from the aircraft folder.

Rather than deleting the whole pack, I intend to remove specific aircraft from that pack.

Make sure you're deleting all of the respective lines and files for that particular aircraft. Each aircraft has four files (.dat, .dnm, coll.srf and cockpit.srf - note that the last one may have been spelled in some variation by the creator/modder, e.g. sometimes cockpit.srf is shortened to cock.srf), so make sure that when you delete the files associated with the aircraft, you delete the exact same line/s in the .lst of the pack.

Make sure you delete the specific line, and everything that is part of it, but nothing from any other lines. It might also be a good idea to keep the files for the addon itself in case they are used by other addons in the pack.

Which pack are you working on?

Ah, I see what the problem was. For backup, I made a copy of the original .lst with "old" put on the end. Somehow, it was reading from this despite the filename change. I've since moved the old version elsewhere.
