CLA tables

Post by Gunny »

I was wondering if any one has made reference tables for the CLA codes for aircraft and ground objects?
And if so where they are available?Thanx.

Check out recon fighter's tutorial, 99% sure there's one in there. :)

What's funny is I just did this two days ago. Reconfighter's is incomplete, if not wrong (outdated). This is what I found looking around YSP, here, and tutorials.

Aircraft:

CLA 0 - 2 states smooth - Gear
CLA 1 - 2 states smooth - Variable Geometry Wing
CLA 2 - 2 state boolean - Burner
CLA 3 - 1 state - Spinner
CLA 4 - 2 states smooth - Airbrake
CLA 5 - 2 states smooth - Flaps
CLA 6 - 3 states smooth - Elevator
CLA 7 - 3 states smooth - Ailerons
CLA 8 - 3 states smooth - Rudder
CLA 9 - 2 states smooth - Bomb bay
CLA 10 - 2 states smooth - VTOL nozzle
CLA 11 - 2 states smooth - Thrust reverse
CLA 12 - 2 states smooth - Thrust vector animation long time delay (a.k.a. TV-interlock)
CLA 13 - 2 states smooth - Thrust vector animation short time delay (a.k.a. High-speed TV-interlock)
CLA 14 - 2 states smooth - Gear doors (open only for transition, close when gear down)
CLA 15 - 2 states smooth - Inside gear bay (shows only when gear is down) Animal Edit: Also useful for slower opening gear, or gear that have a left right delay.
CLA 16 - 2 states smooth - Brake (arrester)
CLA 17 - 2 states smooth - Gear doors (open when gear down)
CLA 18 - 2 states boolean - Low throttle static object
CLA 20 - 2 states boolean - High throttle static object
CLA 21 - Turret
CLA 22 - 1 state - Rotating wheels
CLA 23 - 3 states smooth - Steering wheels
CLA 30 - 2 states boolean - Nav lights (solid on)
CLA 31 - 2 states boolean - Beacon lights (long blink)
CLA 32 - 2 states boolean - Anti collision lights (short blink)
CLA 33 - 2 states boolean - Landing lights
CLA 34 - 2 states boolean - Landing gear lights (off with gear up)

Ground objects:

CLA 0 - default
CLA 1 - Anti aircraft gun horizontal tracking (i.e. the turret)
CLA 2 - Anti aircraft gun vertical tracking (i.e. the barrel)
CLA 3 - SAM launcher horizontal tracking
CLA 4 - SAM launcher vertical tracking
CLA 5 - Anti ground object horizontal tracking (e.g. those default ground object tanks will shoot at other objects, this is the turret)
CLA 6 - Anti ground object vertical tracking
CLA 10 - spinning radar (slow: 3 seconds per revolution)
CLA 11 - spinning radar (fast: 2 seconds per revolution)
CLA 12 - Unknown
CLA 16 - Brake
CLA 22 - Rotating wheels
CLA 23 - Steering wheels
CLA 33 - Lights
CLA 40 - Left Door Open/Close
CLA 41 - Right Door Open/Close
CLA 42 - Rear Door Open/Close
CLA 43 - Cargo Door Open/Close

Good list, the only thing missing is CLA 21 - turret objects

Also, ground objects CLA has different meanings:

CLA 0 - default
CLA 1 - Anti aircraft gun horizontal tracking (i.e. the turret)
CLA 2 - Anti aircraft gun vertical tracking (i.e. the barrel)
CLA 3 - SAM launcher horizontal tracking
CLA 4 - SAM launcher vertical tracking
CLA 5 - Anti ground object horizontal tracking (e.g. those default ground object tanks will shoot at other objects, this is the turret)
CLA 6 - Anti ground object vertical tracking
CLA 10 - spinning radar (slow: 3 seconds per revolution)
CLA 11 - spinning radar (fast: 2 seconds per revolution)

I concur with Rise and Shine... what is TV interlock? Thrust Vector Interlock? What does it acheive?

I honestly don't believe anyone knows... Nothing I've ever seen explains it. There is a control for it in DNMViewer.

Looking into the stock .dnms, the Concorde is the only one I found that uses it. The part assigned to it is the nosecone, specifically:
SRF "NOSECONE"
FIL 00000130.srf
CLA 12
NST 3
...
REL DEP
NCH 1
CLD "NOSECONE_INSIDE"
END

SRF "VISOR"
FIL 00000174.srf
CLA 13
NST 3
...
REL DEP
NCH 1
CLD "VISOR_INVERT"
END
It's evidently linked to the thrust vector, but I'm still not 100% sure what it does.

EDIT: Haha... It's a time delay. See here: http://i942.photobucket.com/albums/ad26 ... 1311013908

I suppose it's not a time delay, but an animation delay. Thrust vector moves proportionally to the axis (if you move it one quarter, the animation moves one quarter). Low and high speed interlock move more toward one end of the axis, so if you move the axis one quarter you get a full half the animation (just making up numbers here). "Low speed" applies to one end of the axis, "high speed" to the other.

Is there a predefined frames slot for any animation?

I made a gear animation that starts from 1 to 45, but in the correspondent imported DNM the animation goes from 21 to 51, and YSF shows the animation from 1 to 30... :|

Thanks for any help!

In blender you use a 10 frame timeframe starting at 1, 11, 21, 31... In this you record your animation, which should not be too complicated though, I encountered some weird issues at a 180 degrees rotation for example...

Blender uses arbitrary frames for the animations
You can start your animation at frame 1 and stop it at frame 42, the export script will manage this case, but your animation will be slow.

You can also modify the frames at which the animations are started/stopped in the file libysfs.py

Add

CLA 40: Left Door Open/Close
CLA 41: Right Door Open/Close
CLA 42: Rear Door Open/Close
CLA 43: Cargo Door Open/Close

I tried to activate it by modifying DNM(F-16) through "Nopepad", but it doesn't work.(Entered CLA 42) Maybe its only for ground object.

By the way, I cannot find of any key that operate CLA 43 in "Key/Joystick Assignment"

I believe these CLAs are for the Jeep drivable vehicle at Aomori.

The stock Gepard driveable ground object has a radar dish on CLA 12, which doesn't currently appear to be activated.
