Re: [Casual]42South Server
We're expecting 38 degree C heat and I don't want the server computer melting (trust me, it will)
I'll also update it with some new packs that I've been meaning to do, so if you want anything included now's your chance to have it done. Please include a link to the pack/page/topic.

Re: [Casual]42South Server
Until the release of the next stable version (which is when I'll update the server) 42S will be run on the current stable version through port 7915.
I am however running the test version server through port 7914 for those who wish to try it out online. It's just stock Hawaii and stock aircraft but it should be a good trial of the test version online.
STABLE YSF: 42south.dyndns.org
Port: 7915
TEST YSF: 42south.dyndns.org
Port: 7914

Re: [Casual]42South Server
Also, could you add the OWL pack? Server now mostly has VA airplanes, and i don't think that OWL's pack would significantly increase load time or lag on the server, and it would add all the essential planes.
Other than that, nice, fast, stable server, I enjoy flying it.

Sorry, forgot to reply lomilomi1 wrote:Could not connect to YSPS server, for the last couple of days.

I've stopped running the YSPS server because I find the lag of someone joining and flying on it to get bad very quickly. Hopefully Flake's Orb system will work nicely.
I'll add Owls pack Monday, won't be home tomorrow.
And thank you.

Re: [Casual]42South Server
I hope so too. I'm not noticing memory leaks, and I am deleting all my unused variables when done with, and thouroughly closing my sockets. I just need to be 1000% sure my threads always die.Midnight Rambler wrote:Hopefully Flake's Orb system will work nicely.
Because everything IS threaded, you shouldn't have problems, but code will be code and for the first few months is might be on par with or slightly worse/better then YSPS. We'll just have to see.
I aim to impress.

Re: 42South Server
Why?
Well, 42South is back!
I got a really good deal on a VPS so I decided to start hosting again! If there's enough interest then I'll install a TS3 server but the YSFHQ one should be enough. Currently the YSFHQ Christmas Pack is installed - and all the addons that come with it.
Also the old RPFS Death machine is making a comeback, this time it's the 42South Extermination Machine...
Well, you get the idea. Post any lag you get here or any other issues.

G'day mate.Stingx-russianknight wrote:Hi MR,
It's the first time I am replying to your posts. I've been to your server several times before. You pointed out that you also have the HQ Christmas pack. I have it too, but when I'm logging into your server, it seems that it would take an hour for the loading process. I would hate to spend more time waiting than flying. Do you have the same problem?
Please reply, Stinger
I've found that it takes ages to load as well. I guess it's because there are so many addons in the YSFHQ pack. Since you also have the YSFHQ pack, every addon would be loaded, which explains your long log in time.. I'll go through and get rid of a chunk and see if it speeds up a bit.
Will do.Cobalt09 wrote:MR, if you could, would you also be able to install the latest RPFS pack?
