When server is populated, log-on process can't even complete before I get kicked out by errors. People are using aircraft I don't have and it's causing the connection to terminate.

I've had that issue multiple times when the server was populated; I'm sure everyone does too. They easiest way to resolve that is to log in with less aircraft. If you have many different packs and want to seperately run a few, I suggest using the YS Addon (.lst) Manager...
If your problem is caused by a low-end CPU or poor internet connection, there's not much of a way to fix that but to use smaller individual packs (rather than one large pack). I have a netbook myself and I can't log in with one [TF58's] pack.

I took a look at the map you wish to use - both the base map you propose and the modifications requested look quite interesting. I am very eager to see how it turns out, and who knows, maybe I'll try and fire up scenery editor myself?

Ok so due to the various errors that plague YS and make the online experience ruined for many users, I plan on re-installing the 42South YSF files. This will allow me to develop a list which will be placed on this topic (with download links) so that people can install the addons currently on the server, or make a YS install specifically for the server.

To make this as efficient as possible I want to know what packs people want on the server - obviously the major ones such as Iceman, OCP, squad/VAs, TF58 etc will be installed but I need to know what people actually want to fly.

And now for some bad news. Turns out my host has changed their ToS and are excluding game servers from any service that they run.

What does this mean? Until I sort out what it means to us, 42South will be offline until further notice. Hopefuly I can have it up and running on another company within the week.

Alrighty.

So I've purchased a new service with another company - this one specialises with gaming VPS services so we're all good there.

With the no-ip issue, I bought a domain name. Server IP as been updated in original post and on the wikia page. IP is now 42south.ysfservers.com.

I've added a list of all addons installed on the server with corresponding links so that you can download all addons on the server... Check it out on the OP.

The server also has a bigger internet connection:

If you find any errors while flying online - let me know. I should be able to isolate the addon and remove the .lst entry and remove it from the server.

Apparently the "BAHAMAS-TURKS_AND_CAICOS-RED_DAWN" edition's name was too long for the server. I shortened it by one character, which should now work. You can re-download it for your server or just change the name in the .lst to take the "_" out from between red and dawn. The name should be "BAHAMAS-TURKS_AND_CAICOS-REDDAWN" in the .lst now.

Another problem we found this morning was I made the NATO start positions IFF1 in the .stp, which means they are IFF2 in the game. I changed them to IFF0 in the .stp so they should now work properly as IFF1 in the game. You can just change them in a text editor if you don't want to redownload.
