Subject Introduction-
Welcome to the facility where I will be posting for you updates and means of learning on aerospace design and everything YSF related when it comes to my builds and projects I will be bringing you from a just starting out learning YSF to completing aircraft and models ect.
Step by step post by post you will be able to see projects being worked on from beginning to end.
I work mainly with blender and have a passion for aerospace design.

Re: C05MIC's underground aerospace research facility
here are some screens of development
I was able to get it into the simulator by using the default f-22 model and placement in blender to match or allign with its points

Re: C05MIC's underground aerospace research facility
I usually sketch out the design of what i ma conceptualizing before i shape it out in blender
Tho for the week or so distractions have come up and depression has made it hard to develop fully the aircraft with animations and features its a project that also is a concept model of what i am looking to develop learning the basics requires experimentation. But nothing beats seen your work starting to physical in front of your eyes.
Has helped me alot understand what is required to get the aircraft to work
whats next is to start working with the existing f-22 dat learning how placement is set and ofcourse animating Cockpit, wings gears ect
However lack of focus can make it a bit difficult to even start anyone deal with that??
Anyways this is the progress so far.

Re: C05MIC's underground aerospace research facility
I usualy always will go for a futuristic city or construct vibe hers an idea or example of just messing around in scen editor
THe goal is to get the most detail without using to much vertices
Also i have setup some motion paths for animated vehicles to follow a path working with elevation grids as well as lower ground dimensions

Re: C05MIC's underground aerospace research facility
Keeping the poly count low is one of the challenges / pleasures of modelling in YS. I'd recommend using single .srf components and duplicating them multiple times to keep the filesize down, especially complex things like numbers and wheels. Take a look at my last release: viewtopic.php?f=169&t=10064&p=114643#p114643 which was assembled in DNMVIEWER.exe, found here: download/file.php?id=4755
