You should also make use of that line in the .dat that allows you to have weapon skins, and weapon models in the skin pack Iceman released for HQP.

One, I AM using Iceman's weapon skin pack.

Two, these are HQPGAC aircraft, so custom weapon skins will cause some considerable lag, defeating the purpose of making these aircraft.

Do you have any proof of that? Haven't seen lag in any planes that use skins. Maybe someone else can confirm this.

The BNI weapons pack should be used for the HQP:GAC pack. It is the best combo between looks and performance (siding towards performance). The current HQP Pack uses these (It has a weapons folder).

hope that helps clear things up!

CEP's (or was it OHP's) Su-24 with FAB250. 20 250lb bombs with skin severely lags my com, dropping my fps to about 8 on 42S

@decaff : I'll look at that.

Started on the MiG-21-93.
Image
Converted from GAC, as usual.

Lots of things to do, such as panel lines and shifting the hardpoints out of the landing gears' way.

Woah, haven't updated this topic in a while.

Cockpit is done.
Image
And weapon skins.
Image

-- Sat Feb 15, 2014 1:26 pm --

Work on MiG-23 started and MiG-21 will be uploaded shortly to Dropbox.
Image

-- Sun Feb 16, 2014 9:04 am --

So I did a couple of things after the previous post, such as hardpoints and swinging wings.
Image
I decided to follow the GAC style wings, where the VGW CLA is with the flaps CLA.
Image
Normal flight below 500kts TAS or over 500kts flaps down.
Image
Flaps down below 500kts TAS.
Image
High speed flight over 500kts TAS.

The panel lines also follow the wings.
[offtopic]Not the best, still
Image
Manly MiG just got a whole lot more manly with that on
My manly MiG-31X and other MiG-31X paint schemes are available here[/offtopic]

-- Sat Feb 22, 2014 9:24 am --

More panel lines and changed the colours on certain areas. Added lights too.

I'm digging Russian swing wings. They look badass.

And this one is no exception. Keep up the good work!

So the Flogger-B got a new cockpit, both inside and out.

And new paint... and a HUD.

Blank uploaded to Dropbox, this will follow soon.

Looks amazing. Good work
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for my signature, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have imagined having over a very long career. Skills that make me are completely useless in any situation. If you stop reading now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't stop reading, I will look for you, I will probably not find you, and I will kill your refrigerator.

You are doing amazing work. Could you show an image of the main fuselage in edit mode, so we can see the polygon count?

Looks like you have captured the quality perfectly. From the in-flight images, you can't really tell how many vertices you've got in there. :D
