I do believe Ice is one of the few people here ethnically authorized to post that picture.

Why Ice ain't got no beard-ba dum bum. :D
But anywho got an update for Project Kodiak that has turned into Project South East Alaska.
Btw all of the Aleutians are from Project Rowe by Patrickn I just added some things like VOR-DMEs ground objects and more ILSs and view points.
I changed the water color cause after the comment that it was to bright I agreed looked more like the tropics than Alaska it still is smooth flying with no screen vibs as yet.
Oh and heres a tip I stumble on if you are suffering from the disappearing poly and reference syndrome try this.
This is step by step.I got into back side view to see my ref to add elev grids to the scenery.Added the grid selected the corners to move nodes and accidentally picked top view instead of right view to my surprise everything showed up all the polys and the reference where there and they stayed there through the whole session thats how I got these SS.I haven't tried it again yet but it should be repeatable.

Update slugging away at Merrill field and Elmandorf AFB after them comes Fairbanks maybe, maybe not depends on how much lag when these two are inserted into the master map.
Apologies to Danny for not using his Elmandorf.

How many sq' miles is the map? Can we have a low poly version? I'de love to do something special with it, something that I'll share next time we link up on TS.

Damn it seems like Merrill field is taking forever to complete but after that comes Elmandorf whew.
V I don't know I haven't calculated it yet but its alot. And as for low polys about the best I could do is delete all G/Os But the G/Os are post insertion to the master scenery elev.grids (Mountains not buildings)and also color but for your case colour ground variations.Basically un building the scenery thats alota un-work. :D .
Thank all of you for your kind remarks but I would also like to hear some constructive criticism if they are out there.

That airfield looks super real...great job; however, some outlying roads would be nice if not too lag inducing. If it's going to be part of a huge map, sometimes roads for reference can be really helpful when flying. Just my two cents of constructiveness.

Chunt your 2 cents have been upgraded to a nickle. There will be only 1 major highway linking the 3 fields on the mainland to try to keep the lag down altough I think I may be well past that point.
Sven thanks I guess that ill do just fine. ;)

Heres some news for all us scenery editors.I just got an answer from Dr. Yamakawa today concerning the disappearing polygon and reference issue.
He is considering adding to the menu (invert all polygons) to fix this problem.Good news. :D

Gunny, I think you should back this up. Put it on mediafire or something like that to save it from computer crashes and house fires.
