[SCENERY] Helgoland
[moddesc=http://www.mediafire.com/?p887tmau2gii2wl]I started this way back in April 2010, but it sat around until I took it back up and finished it just after Christmas. It was originally released on YSP, but I decided to put it here as well, just cause.
Helgoland is a little island off the coast of Germany, primarily rock. Difficult to make anything detailed that isn't flat in YS, but I spent a week or so working on the elevation grids to get them to work properly. Like seriously, everything (with the exception of the VOR and Burke) is elevation grids. That was back before I'd figured Gepoly out. (Nostalgia here we go!)
Best used with helicopters or some nice Cessna models.[/moddesc]
[instmod]Drag the contained "user" and "scenery" folders into your main YSFlight folder.[/instmod][/mod]
EDIT: Mediafire died, the topic copied from YSP is here.

Anything larger goes too fast to see anything and generally can't land...Kilo 11 wrote:Why only helos and cessnas?
The white one? It was actually a lot of fun to make, had to invert one of the grids.FrenchTOZT wrote:I still am having a hard time believing that ship is made from elevation grids. >_>

Re: Helgoland
back that is. I refuse to Down-Load anything via this work computer.
A superior piece of work from what I can see. Especially when you
compare it to the actual location, WOW!

Re: Helgoland
It was exactly a VFA-131 F/A-18E Super Hornet against a Su-27 from the 49th. It was a bit polemic, though. Anyways, that's great! (the map)iqmal_97 wrote:Actually, that map did appeared in a Ysflight vid. It's a faceoff between a CVW-171 Superhornet against a Flanker.

Now 100% more decomissioned!
