Any help is much appreciated.
Install it.Edit2: Got Python 2.6.7 and extracted. Now what the hell do I do with it?
That's what I get. So if I follow the things aragorn15 does. Mine should work aswell.aragorn15 wrote:That was self explanatory. I'll dig around and if I don't have it, could someone give it to me?
Edit: Found the file, re-installed, re-started blender, same error. Re-installed all the scripts, re-started blender, same error. Restarted blender and checked the console. "Blah-blah-blah...Checking for installed Python...No installed Python found...Blah-blah-blah...Some scripts may not run". I assume this means I need to find Python 2.6. Blender came with Python26 so I assumed that was it. I'll install Python 2.6 and then update this post to let you know if I fixed it.
Edit2: Got Python 2.6.7 and extracted. Now what the hell do I do with it?
1) Get the installer of Blender 2.49 here
http://download.blender.org/release/Ble ... indows.exe
and install it
(note: if you don't use the setup version, the instructions below are not valid)
2) Get the msi installer of Python 2.6 here
http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.6/python-2.6.msi (32 bits version)
http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.6/py ... .amd64.msi (64 bits version)
and install it
(note: if you don't use the setup version, the instructions below are not valid)
3) Enable Windows File Manager to display the hidden files/folders
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutoria ... windows-7/
4) Download the ysfs Blender scripts here
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ysfsblender/
and extract all the files
5) Among the extracted files, you see "install.html" and a folder "ysfs scripts"
Copy all the files/folders inside "ysfs scripts" (ie lib_ysfs, best_camera_position.py, chza.py, ... ) in the directory : C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts
If you don't see this folder, it means you don't have Windows 7 or you didn't chose the setup version of Blender.
6) Run Blender !
