MZ527 Emergency Landing MXA

Post by dbd000 »

Moa Airways VA Flight 527 made an emergency landing on the YS Civil Aviation Server At 4:30:23PM 5th July 2016 NZST.
The A320neo took-off from Mandiola when it encountered an engine failure on the left side. Smoking, it managed to make an emergency landing on the adjacent runway.
The cause of the engine failure is unknown and is under investigation by Moa Airways staff and the most likely cause is currently the Mandiola maintenance crews for the Moa A320 but the cause so far is not available at this stage.
This incident should also be under review by the YSFAA.

There have not been any reports of death or injuries, but a substance has been found on five of the fan blades. It is unknown what it is but it has been found guilty of bringing down the aircraft.

I can't blow bubbles or whistle. My tongue is too fat.

Bulletin From YSFAA

The YSFAA has banned, upon revision of flight MZ527 accident, any and all use of bubble gum chewing, blowing, unwrapping or disposal near or at all YSFAA regulated airports.

Further information will be provided at a later time, until then we request all pilots to obey the newly imposed regulations and bans.

Your Welcome,
The YSFAA

Typical YSFAA overreaction. We don't even know for sure that bubblegum was involved, but ban it anyway. It could just as easily been a stray helium balloon with a tootsie roll tied to the string, but nobody ever wants to consider banning balloons.

After an inspection of the engine's damage, we have determined that the cause was bird strike. The substance found was analysed and found to be seagull droppings.

I knew it, just a bird. But here we are, still living under a total ban of bubblegum. Well, guess what. I'm here to chew bubblegum and fly aircraft, and I'm...all...out... Oh, yeah. I'm all out of bubblegum. Well, anyway, if I had bubblegum I should be allowed to chew it.

@Turbofan : I think you should add bird radars at MXA or somekind like anti-bird defence  .

^Better yet: have some actual human bird deflectors that scare away birds at MXA. Have to defend the most important air hub in the CMIs, from birds of the "other" kind! :P

Actually...did you contrail only one engine_
The A380 is ahead of its time. With the resilient passenger traffic growth for times to come (reference from Airbus's Global Market Forecast), plus congested airports, the A380 could not be ignored.
