We practiced some formation flying on the OYS server a few days ago and it was slightly more difficult to maintain close formation. The other aircraft were extremely jumpy and the distance lag was pretty much the same as usual. Thus, we decided the standard YS would be easier and more reliable in general. The only thing I plan on using OYS for is replays if we can get them to work, and then any other portions of the show that would make it convenient to run it.

It would be cool if you place on airfest map (on "AirShow.fld") few "60-INCH AA SEARCHLIGHT" for more interesting visual effects!
Addon can be downloaded from here! -

Searchlights during the day? Sounds totally sensible and logical.

If VNAF'2016 would be hosted on OpenYS server maybe you can switch weather during airshow?

nice
Blinding the pilots + most aircraft would be nothing but inky spots against the night sky.
"And now folks, on your left you would see... wait a second I can't see shit"
Quite sure airshows are daytime events for a reason.
And judging from VNAF's reaction, I don't see this being implemented.

@ u2fly's posts
Are you even going to the airshow? Do you know how YSFlight Airshows work? Please tone down the recommendations and questions and roll with what happens at AirFest.
And like NightRaven said, you really can't see anything in the night time which makes a show pointless.

Chill guys, my response was actually a legit question. I just wanted to know what he meant by it, even though it's a little late to make changes to the map among the millions of other things I still have to fix in 2 days.
I won't be adding anything to the map at this point. All I may do is re-upload the corrected AirFest pack but I still need to test it and see if the major issues have been resolved. Any further issues are on the creators and most likely existed before I made the pack. I'm not changing anything.
Standby for more details for what's going on Friday. Don't forget, we have a live performance from the YS Black Dragons to look forward to, as well as some adrenaline pumping air racing!!!

This is what I told about. As you know during fly-in session, we felt distance lag that cannot be overcome for our performance especially in "Change Loop & Turn"
So... for temporarily during intermission to intermission that including us, may I ask flying my PC's server for better outcome?

Sure, we will share the IP when it is time and use your server for the Black Eagles, then return back to the AirFest server.
DOWNLOAD HERE
Make sure to download the above AirFest pack to your 2015 version of YS. Clear out or overwrite any previous or old versions of files in this pack. This is the final copy. Make sure to place the "AirFest2016" folder in the download OUTSIDE the User folder along with the Scenery, Aircraft, etc. folders. This also makes it easy to delete the AirFest pack after the show by simply deleting the AirFest .lst file and the folder.

I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

Everyone, today is the first air show day of VNAF AirFest 2016 featuring the US Air Force Thunderbirds!!!
Make sure you check the original post for the schedule, download the LATEST AirFest Pack, and get the IP addresses for today. For the Black Eagles, we will be using a different IP address (183.96.172.146).
Looking forward to seeing all of you during the show!
