These just look astounding.

Will you per chance be making models for other countries at this stage (cough RAAF cough) or are you just doing the pretty US ones for now?

So hyped for this.

I will be doing non-US paint schemes in the future. Since I was starting with the "Pretty Ones", it was only US aircraft that I was showing. Add to that that the non-US planes look really plain to me with a few exceptions and there wasn't a lot of interest to start with those.

I will agree they [the raaf models etc.] look very... plane.

Damnit why can't we have nice things?

I thought the F-35 had an internal cannon? Why a gun pod? I could have sworn I've seen numerous weapons tests of the F-35 having a pop open fairing for the cannon.

actually, the internal cannon version used on -A variant but -B and -C uses gun pod
turn to page 43 for the gun pon and internal cannon explanation by Vic Viper post #855
EDIT:Some sneak peek on F-35I Adir
So far,it would be regular stealth grey paint for the -I variant (and this one is the prototype bort number 901)

Very cool! Especially considering the F-35A is now IOC. We are just waiting on the F-35C to reach that point now and then we can declare all the F-35's (for the US at least) combat capable.

I go away for a week and you've got many more skins on these babies! Can't wait!

A bunch of painting has been accomplished, but I'm taking a minor break from the painting and working on some weapons. With all the different weapons that the F-35 is supposed to be able to use, I wanted to get cracking on some!

Here's the ASRAAM (AIM-132) being fit-checked on the station 11 pylon. There will need to be zero edits to get it to work in the same arrangement as the AIM-9X! :D

I've noticed in a few videos that the wingtip station on the F-35 is drooped relative to the aircraft. I guess this makes sense when the aircraft is flying around with angle of attack (2nd picture), so I experimented to see how easy it would be to convert the straight rail to a drooped rail. Not that hard at all. The trickiest thing was rotating the static mesh of the weapon and aligning it with the pylon.

Not really. Taking off and landing is the slowest part of the flight. Drag is proportional to speed^2, so the faster you go the more drag you get. Since the F-35 always seems to fly with 5 degrees angle of attack, the missile would be pointed straight forward at that point (like picture #2 from previous post).

Since the two are so similar, I decided to make CF-03 from CF-05's paint scheme. Just had to change all the 75s to 73s.
