I just went outside for a while to see the meteor shower. The lights from town probably blocked most of them. We watched the jets from New Jersey, New York, Canada, and Britain, flying over on their way to Memphis using the FlightAware app to ID them. I saw a couple of really big meteors with long trails and I think I saw one explode without a trail. The planes we saw were several 777s, a couple of DC-10s, a couple of 757s, an A320, and a 737.

I never realized how busy MEM must be so late at night.

Used FlightAware to figure out what it was, but an IL-76 flew over this morning going from KIAH to somewhere while I was watching the meteor shower. Thought it was cool that I had actually seen one for the first time, even if it was only nav lights and a beacon (no strobes).

One of the 777s last night was actually low enough that I could make out its outline.

I couldn't identify, but last night as I was going home from the store, I saw a few Airliners coming in and out of KCVG. I would have taken shots if my phone wasn't busted :x

Saw a Nice 787 last afternoon coming out of KCVG. I couldn't tell which airline, but they were packing a US Flag Scheme.

I saw the American Airlines B77W going to KDFW and a lot of A320/B737 -700 and -800 from Latam, Gol and Avianca landing. I remember when I was on the cemetery (despite the place), I get awesome views on afternoon - a respectful place.

And they shall be back, in greater numbers...

Saw a BlackHawk from the local reserve base flying over Stop&Shop, no pic because I was driving home from work :|

Speaking of c130s. The ones based locally are still out in afganistan for another month. Hopefully they extend their stay a tad more so we can get that runway at OQU painted.
