Re: Anyone else like this idea?

I used Grigor's Spectre and got to over 800,000 feet, but the sky is still blue?

300,00ft is the "edge of space" and when I get to that altitude the speedometer or whatever that is drops from 1500 knots to 0.

That is what happens in OpenYS.1384trungh wrote: ↑Tue Mar 07, 2017 1:30 amHowever, it should be a gradient, meaning it shouldn't turn black immediately.

Re: Anyone else like this idea?
There are some versions of YSFlight that will not have as many features as the 2015 version while running OpenYS. I run on YSF2012 and the sky doesn't get darker for me, yet I can still see the day turn to night and vice versa on multiplayer servers. If you are operating on the most recent YSF 2017 version then that might be the problem. If you are running on YSF 2015 version then Idk what to say lolBreekiBoots wrote: ↑Tue Mar 07, 2017 10:44 amJust tested OpenYS, but the sky doesn't seem to be darkening. Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

As in, you want to run your own server/local version of OYS so you can play with the effects and use your own map/aircraft list?BreekiBoots wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2017 4:11 amThe reason I'm after OpenYS is because I'd like to experiment with sky and horizon colour, without the need to download extra maps or restrictions on what aircraft I can fly.

Just to be sure you know it, OYS only works in Windows. Also, make sure you have the latest .NET Framework installed. I kept having problems getting OYS to run on my Win7 laptop until I realized .NET Framework was very old.
