Announcing YSRepo

Introducing YSRepo, the place for you to upload your addons for YSFlight

What is YSRepo?
YSRepo (Repository) was created in order to make sure that peoples addons can be easily protected by legal grounds. In order to stop theft, we need to ensure that people agree to a licence before being able to download your addons.

During the signup up you will be asked for your name however this isn't required and can just be the same as your username. This is due to a limitation of Joomla which is the software the site is based on. Once signed up you'll be able to both download and upload addons for YSFlight. The "secret key" on the login box is for users who choose to use two-factor authentication which is available by editing your profile.

Downloading
Once you are registered it is as simple as activating your account, finding the addon you want, agreeing to the licence and boom you can download whichever addons take your fancy.

Uploading
In order to upload addons once you have an account, it is as simple of uploading the addon and then allowing an admin to approve your submission. This restriction may be removed, however, for now, we will be operating this way. Users who show that they are uploading addons which are legit more than once will have these restrictions removed and be able to upload whenever they fancy.

Once you have uploaded your addon we would recommend announcing them here on HQ

How to Contact Us
In order to contact the team all enquiries should be directed to [email protected] where we will deal with your enquiry as soon as possible

Not currently as it is a separate entity to HQ and is difficult to do however members of the existing admin team have looked at bringing it into HQ fold. This is something we will look at with whoever is admin in the future as I have it paid for for a while and therefore isn't something we need to worry about at the moment

So finally my webhost has sorted out my SSL and it is enabled and forced on the site in order to protect security.

Currently the theme is being worked on and a better default licence should be up soon.

I am currently working on a system which would allow for an addon to be released at a set time and date however this is currently a long way off

Great concept. Glad someone has finally stepped up to do something about the recent addons that have been stolen and repurposed.

I finally feel comfortable enough to release some of my jets for this year's airshow season. :)

I'm getting errors when I try to access the various repository pages:
URL = https://www.ysrepo.uk:80/index.php/repository/packs/
An error occurred during a connection to www.ysrepo.uk:80. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG

You are trying to connect on port 80 whereas SSL uses port 443

That is the direct link to each section in https://ysrepo.uk/index.php/repository. The link is embeded in the html source code.

I get the same error if I am logged in or not.

I have deactivated the SSL until I can figure it out. It seems to be an issue in the code and will submit a support request
