Re: Your Internet Speed
Now I see why we are ranked 60th. And we're getting worse.
We NEED FTTH NBN here.

Re: Your Internet Speed
I figure it will take ten years, three times the cost, and be slower than the DSL we have now.

Re: Your Internet Speed

This is actually pretty good for Australia in general. The problem though is that I live in share accommodation and the router just drops me repeatedly, without warning, for up to hours on end.

Re: Your Internet Speed

There is nothing to complain about. But since this is actually 3X faster than the virtual private server I have rented (from my budget, not his budget!), which only transfers at 100mbit/s max, I wish our ISP would offer a static IP address plan so I could get a domain name (like a .com or .ca) for our home and we wouldn't have to rely on No-IP's annoying and troublesome nagware to allow friends to connect to our local multiplayer games.
We have an unlimited transfer per month also, and since I am a believer in the free & open source software movement, I've been getting our monies' worth by seeding Linux ISO files since we got the upgraded speed:

My only concern is that I might turn into a spoiled brat and become the world's most annoying whiner if I should find myself in a place with less stellar Internet connection speed.
