...not really. While it does say you must pay for WinRAR, it is not necessary. There is a message every time you start WinRAR after the end of the "trial" telling you to buy but it can be ignored by closing it.

Heck, there is an entire subreddit dedicated to publicising users buying WinRAR:

Would you like fries with that?

I am an accountant working full-time (and some). I'm not here as often as I would like to be. Send a message if you need me. There are a few people in the community who can get in contact with me urgently if you need - don't be afraid to ask. I just don't check here as frequently as I used to. Sorry!

I understand that someone compressed our pack and sent it to you, u2fly. Here is a public
link in case anyone else needs the pack in compressed format. Data caps really suck, and are just unnecessary greed. Fly safe U2fly

I'm sorry to bring this up now, but the XFA-27C Phoenix II has a .dat file error.
It's one of the SOD planes.

No need to apologize, glad you pointed it out. I might of fixed it so long ago on our server that I didn't remember.
Is it an agm 65 error? I think this may be the problem:
HRDPOINT -2.958m -0.197m 1.894m AIM9 AIM9X AIM120
AGM65
HRDPOINT 2.958m -0.197m 1.894m AIM9 AIM9X AIM120 AGM65
Move that AGM65 back to the 1st line
HRDPOINT -2.958m -0.197m 1.894m AIM9 AIM9X AIM120 AGM65
If that worked I'll upload a replacement dat for everyone else.

That fixed it. No more errors. Thanks.
The error was with AGM65, but I didn't know where that bit of text was supposed to be to fix it myself. I deleted the line break so it is back up there with the first line and all is good. Get on the wire to every squadron around the world. Tell them how to bring those error messages down!

Pat, you've given me a great idea. If it doesn't exist already, we need to make a Quality Assurance guide for all prospective and current modders to read up on, before they upload their work. For all of us who've let things slip by (yours truly included). I know just the man cough*NightRaven*cough
And
here's the dat file to fix the XFA-27 for anyone who needs it.

I generally do what the major corporations do and wait for somebody to complain about an error. I usually find my errors about 5 minutes after I post a release topic.

After months of working it does get mighty difficult to read those lines

I pack my addons into a release folder as I develop them.
Then I just copy the entire release folder to a sandbox YSF install, and test every aircraft, one by one.

I do the same, but it doesn't always help. The biggest problem I have is small things on aircraft. I'll forget to paint one tiny polygon or something little like that. The biggest problem I have with maps is that I almost never make a small map, and it might look good in scenery editor, but not be exactly right in YSF. I check the area around the airports, but might miss something small.

The link to our pack has been removed until further notice while we inquire on the allowed repaint use of various models.

There is a secret way to still get it, but you need to be a bit clever.
