This new livery is underwhelming.

Post by Not1011 »

I just had to post this, especially considering that no one else on this forum's discussing this.

The new Aer Lingus livery is...kind of empty. There's worse out there, though.

Source: http://www.askthepilot.com/aer-lingus-livery/ , because I couldn't find the livery anywhere else. The article isn't mine, forgive me.

Also, I really hate today's advertising. 50, 40, or even 30 years ago, commercials and ads used to at least be super detailed, telling you in proper English what the product they were trying to sell you was, with no music whatsoever. Now, it's all buzzwords, text lingo, and upbeat, or simplistic, music.
I did not sell very well, so Lockheed killed me. I'm the reason it doesn't make airliners anymore.

Random stuff:
1. They ain't "sharklets", like Turbofan said.
2. The Tu-114 should really go back into service in a redesigned form.
3. The L-1011 should also return, too.
4. My posts are repeatedly deleted on the AM3 forum.
5. Concorde must return!
6. Fegelein can never die, even when Hitler himself tries to kill him. (Downfall parodies)
7. Embraer should restart production of the EMB-110 and EMB-120, as those are my two favourite prop planes.

The old one looks like something I would carve into a plane in gepolyx. The new one looks like something made in Blender. I'm not seeing any reason for them to feel shame.

Both look bad. The livery before both of them is the one I like best. What I'm saying is that Aer Lingus should at least try to do better. The new one is, as Mr. Smith said in the article I quoted, definitely an improvement over the previous one. It's just underwhelming, both to him and to me.
