X-47B UCAS-D

Post by Deleted User 616 »

The Northrop Grumman X-47B is a demonstration unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) designed for aircraft carrier-based operations. Developed by the American defense technology company Northrop Grumman, the X-47 project began as part of DARPA's J-UCAS program, and subsequently became part of the United States Navy's Unmanned Combat Air System Demonstration (UCAS-D) program. This is so fun! I love the vents on the top. The exhaust is also fascinating to me. Excellent Job!

Amazing! :o

Question: What is modification/repaint policy for this addon?

The only condition of use is that I be notified before using the model.

Does it mean that there no requirements to credit original author?

Also, what we can do if later some user can't notify you OR there would be no way to contact with you? (theoretically)

As for me, "CC-BY" or "CC-BY-SA" would be the best license for YSFlight addons:

Of course you credit the original author, not doing so would result on an immediate ban from this forum!

The model I built from scratch, is that I never take the time to write a copyright document.

Just read your license file, but its unclear who is author (add name) and how contact with author (add link to this thread or email).

Code: Select all

-Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format only with prior approval of the author.
-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ------------
* The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the terms of the license

* You must give credit appropriately, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes have been made. You can do it in any reasonable way, but not in a way that suggests that you or your use do not have the support of the licensor.

* You may not use the material for commercial purposes.

* If you remember, transform or create from the material, you may not distribute the modified material without prior authorization of the author.
BTW, Personally, I don't like such type of license. Why not just use CC-NC-SA for non-commercial addons?

It's just a few posts up...

If all he asks is to be notified that you're using the model then that's all. No need for a tizzy regarding legal licenses.
