[ANNOUNCEMENT] YSFlight and YSFHQ acquisition by Microsoft [April Fools 2020]
This is a fantastic opportunity for YSFlight. Microsoft Games is formulating a top development team including lead designer Jason McAlister, head of product design for Windows Vista, and community engagement officer David Somers, the man behind the file copy time estimates. Due to unforseen delays in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, YSFlight is also slated to be a flagship release title on the new Xbox Series X console. Unfortunately, Microsoft is uninterested in continuing development of YSFlight for Mac or Linux, and will file cease and desist orders against anyone who plays the game on those platforms starting May 31st.
Forum administration is planned to be rolled into the Microsoft Support Staff queue by June. Until then, we the staff here at Microsoft's YSFHQ will keep you up to date as the forum undergoes structural changes.
"We expect the first iteration of Microsoft's YSFlight to be available later this year," said David Somers. "Sorry, next week. Actually 2042. Wait, yeah, next year."
About the acquisition, Eric said "this is great. I can finally put 'Intern at Microsoft' on my resume."
"I love it," says Doomsday, "I can waste people on PC and XBox now."
"Happy? Nah yeah, I can to run to Maccas for me sheila an' swing by the bottle-o for some grog without some drongo makin' errors in OYS. Yeah mate, I'm happy." We were unable to translate Flake's comment.

But frankly, I'm more excited that they agreed to send us 12,000 rolls of toilet paper each as part of the deal. We're going to be swimming in cash.

When will Captain YS tweet something politically incorrect and be removed from all documentation?
On a more serious note, they just bought YS to shut down the biggest competition with MS Flight Simulator, so we'll all be gone by Summer.
