Various versions of YS Scenery editor

Post by TournelHenry » Sat Apr 25, 2020 3:30 am

I want to try out different versions of the YSFlight Scenery Editor, but can't find them.
I only found the 20090426 stable version (here: and the 20180704 version (here: ... tvere.html) which is too laggy.

A user (@k2w) posted some maps in 2016 (link: viewtopic.php?f=170&t=8399) that I want to integrate into a larger map, but the 2009 version of Scenery Editor won't open it😭

It would be helpful if some people show me where to get other versions (after 2009) to try

Everything after 2009 are technically test versions so haven't been officially archived. Someone may have a version lying around though. I thought I had the 2014 scenedit test version lying around, but I don't. I tend to build everything in in 2009ver and then add the new additions last.

Decaff and I have been slowly compiling all the changes, but it's not a surefire way to make it backwards compatible. Give it a try though viewtopic.php?f=299&t=9432&p=115031

2015version is mine. you must use this or later version for my texture map. I think 2018 test version is not so bad.
laggy for my maps on scenery editor can be improved with a technic. it is to change drawing setting. wireframes of elevation grid are prime cause for laggy. So, you should try to erase them by [view]->[draw]->[wireframe].
