Best way to make YSF look good

how could i make ysf look as good as possible, ik that the game is old and so it is limited but i just wonder if there are any setting/addons that could aid in making this game look even slightly better.

The 171st stock map replacer is a good quick fix for the really vibrant colours of the default maps. There are a couple versions of stock F-16 replacers to add more detail to the model, and there are lots of high quality aircraft and map addons

For game settings, you have the three executable options: D3d is fastest and takes some render shortcuts. OGL1 is like D3d but without shortcuts and is slower. OGL2 has spot reflections on aircraft and textured clouds. The 2018 version adds a few other things to OGL2, but 2018 is pretty buggy and also incompatible with the 2015ver servers we have up. For the actual game rendering, we're stuck with what we have
