Help fixing the response curve of my X52 hotas?

Hello all! I have had a blast messing around with this flight sim. However, the response curve it gives my X52 makes it hard to control a lot of aircraft.

It does not map the input 1:1 with the stick in real life, rather it feels like a wide deadzone in the middle then shoots to the extremes near the end of travel.

Is there a way to make it more linear without feeding the joystick inputs through a second program to correct it?

Does the X52 run Saitek software? For my X55 I use the tuning software that came with it to adjust the curves. Also check the deadzone in control settings in YS, but I suspect that's not the issue

Yes it uses Saitek/logitech software. Deadzones aren't the issue, I have them all to 1%. I don't think the X52 software lets you adjust curves.

It is linear in every other game anyway? I'm pretty sure its something to do with YS itself.

Well that sucks. There's no native curve adjustment for X52 at all. If you open the Windows joystick settings (Control panel > Devices and printers > X52 > Game controller settings > Properties) it'll give you a visual output of stick position that you can compare with YS. I've never seen that egregious a mapping with YS, so my first instinct is that the issue is elsewhere

Have you done the YSFlight Joystick Calibration? Not sure if it will help, but it might.

Where would that be located? I didn't see the option in any of the tabs ingame.

in 2015 it is under Option (O) -> Calibrate Joystick (J)

That's not an option on the Windows build
