Join us at VCAP Aerobatics for the first major event of the 2024 YSFlight airshow season, as we head into the frozen Northwest for Wings Over Yellowstone 2024 on July 7th! Staged at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (Gallatin Field) in the beautiful city of Bozeman, Montana, this long-awaited event will mark the official return of VCAP, back to bringing the YSFlight world's brand of rip-roaring aerial showmanship around the globe. Along with featuring the many skilled and professional performers that make up our community, the Warrior Flight Team and YS Air Combat Command are set to take this scenic day of action in the skies over the top. Plan your trips to the land of the hot springs well in advance, as this is sure to be one for the books!

Want to take part in performing in Wings Over Yellowstone? If so, just fill out the questionnaire below, and post it as a reply to this thread! Upon approval, your entry will be added to the schedule in due time. Solo performers are limited to entering with a maximum of two (2) solo displays. However, formation or multi-ship displays are unlimited and highly encouraged.

These are a special part of the show in which all participants, performers and spectators alike, can take part and fly. For this year's event over Bozeman, our mass flight will be before the show:

-Hot Air Balloon Mass Flight (PRE-SHOW) - Before the show begins, the server will be unlocked, and all participants will be allowed to fly around the airspace in hot air balloons.

A decision that was made weeks ago, but not fully locked in until now: YS Wings Over Yellowstone is being postponed to Saturday, June 29th. Plans for this show have been changing since it was announced, and we felt that we needed more time to execute them. Registrations will now remain open until June 15th.

Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, MT, USA - 6/23/2024 @ 6:00 PM EST

During the late hours over Bozeman, the beautiful blue and black Beech D-18 of Stewart Airshows made quite a loud arrival, considering the twin Pratt & Whitney R-985 Wasp Junior engines. This is a big milestone for Stewart Airshows, as this would be our first show ever, We can't wait to perform!

Thanks to a particularly bad bout of pain putting me out of commission, Wings Over Yellowstone is now pushed to Sunday, July 7th. I absolutely detest having to move one of our events multiple times, but the bright side is that this gives all of us even more time to bring our A-game to the event. I hope all of you will understand why this needed to happen.

The show will go on, even if it takes all of these delays to get there. Until then, keep kicking tires and lighting fires, everyone!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made today's Wings Over Yellowstone airshow possible! Even despite the many delays it took to get here, I would go as far as to call this, the first show we've hosted in 8 months, one of our best so far. It's great to bring the community together once again, and we will continue to do so into the future. We'll be seeing you all again soon!
