The BBC headline puts "chemtrail" in quotes because the law, which is now in effect, does not actually ban chemtrails. The law bans cloud seeding, and only for the purpose of geoengineering. I'm looking forward to seeing case law about localized cloud seeding, although as a native of the state, all you have to do is a wait a few days and it's going to rain anyway. I feel like whoever decided to claim this law was about "chemtrails" was just trolling.
Chemtrails, for those how don't know, are where aircraft flying at certain altitudes under certain conditions interact with water molecules in the atmosphere to release streams of dihydrogen monoxide, a chemical known to be deadly if it gets into our lungs.
So, the bottom line is, the law only bans cloud seeding, which is a real thing, and has nothing to do with the chemtrail conspiracy theory.
