If you don't already have one, I suggest you use this as your 3-view/background

naw some axis scaling will probably fix any issues, you've got TONS of polys to work with. Your model has enough detail that reshaping should actually be easier by a long shot.

The new fuselage has even more polygons than the previous one... but that exhaust nozzle is a real pain, the shape on the top/bottom views on the 3d drawings doesn''t seem to match the real one, especially when looking at pictures/videos.

Still need some reshaping of the bottom part of the fuselage (too "fat") and, of course, rear part.

This is some really nice work Davide.

"Esperimentato"? You meant "esperto" (experienced)? Well, actually this is my first adventure ever in 3D model creation... I just followed Kurosaki's tutorial for basic repainting operations in blender and done a repainting for a project I have (not released yet) and after getting familiar with the software I thought "why not making this dream come true?" :)

Thanks! I'll release it in various versions (maybe even in the close air support version), it will take a while for it to be released even when finished... so stay tuned!! ;)

I'm at a good point. Complete unpainted shape is almost done, but I have to fix some shadow problem as usual. I think this will be the basic version with no cockpit, no exterior details, no external fuel tanks, no moving parts and basic gears.

I still think you could get away with using a quarter of the polygons, but it's up to you. Looks pretty good so far.

Yeah, I know... actually, I was wondering how would be the rough kb limit of the .dnm file for a "lagless" flying on servers with full team formation (9+1). But, at this point, cutting down the number of polygons is almost impossible also because the decal is not a decal, I cut the fuselage.

Now, for the sake of simplicity (ah!) in this basic version, I'll do the canopy not transparent, so I just have the gears (a very simple version) and two more minor decals left. Obviously, I still need to check on the .dnm size that, as for now, is 403 kb.

Anyway, the wings' upper/lower parts are done

403 kb is not too bad at all, and if you don't add too many moving parts, you should be fine for relatively not too laggy. This is still insanely high poly, but if that's the file size then you should be okay.
