398th Base Map
Toxic here
I was wondering if a map maker could possible construct a base for the 398th squadron
I honestly, dont have a whole lot of requirements.
I know that modding takes time, and so whoever takes this up, will make me very happy.
I have a drawing that I made in Paint.net in like 5 minutes.
Its really basic, just something to look at to get an idea.
I like rectangular bases. I never got to liking the rounded islands
The map would preferably have a rather large base. And a separate island filled with alot of AAA's, SAM's and buildings for training missions.
I love the feel of the Airstrike Challenge map. I really like the feel of having the enemy in little clusters like they have it in that one.
First off, I would like to see if anyone can take the project up, because then I will be able to get into the details more.
Such as placement of certain items.
This is, once again a very basic picture to kind of get a feel for what I would like. I'm really sorry that Its not really scaled to actual size
But trust me, I would love a large base. Like big.
Since its an island. I would like the assurance of having enough space to train.
It has a carrier for carrier landing training.
And the enemy has a long strip of land with a barrier in front of it in order to make it a little harder to attack.
The base will have 3 runways.
A place for basic hangars.
Also, a place for helicopter landings and training.
There is a huge box on the Base in the left side kind of in the middle, I would like this to have some sort of targets for target practice and basic training.
It is a large area
Any takers are very much appreciated
Thank you all for looking and taking your time to see

Re: 398th Base Map
but to be honest, I have no clue where to even start. I can paint planes and very basically modify them. . . but seriously, I dont know how to make maps or even make planes.
I would need a teacher of sorts or some kind of step by step tutorial.
Maybe even pictures

Do what you can by yourself, experiment. The worst that can happen is you crash the program. If you get stuck, take a look at around http://forum.ysfhq.com/viewforum.php?f=40 (specifically TF58's and PatN's.) It should cover pretty much everything to do with Scenedit.
