I've been making myself a lovely little CBR250RR. It's nearly done. I just need to convert the engine housings to chuck inside, finish the front wheel, add the cooling system and finally drop the drivetrain in.

The hardest part is getting the normals to go how I want them.

Here's some eye candy for now, as I am currently working on the front brakes which are extremelly detailed... :/ (3656kb worth of srf... :/)

Image

For those whom are unaware, I own one of these little things irl. (Awesome fun to ride!)

Model converted from Amiro Rei's work on the Sketchup Repository, with a bit of editing and appropriation (eg: removing mega detailed decals...)

Yeah to get this to work I think I'll have to wire the rudders and ailerons together for leaning purposes... Which means joystick emulation...

That, or screw the lean, and I make it all rudder based, and as you ride the horizon stays level... :|

That's how Ice's (right?) Evo X's work. I was using a Microsoft Wheel and pedal system. {Right pedal=Throttle; Left Pedal=Brake; Steering Wheel=Rudder}=YS Drive.

It took me about an hour, not as long as it looks.

Meanwhile in the mid-Atlantic, above a not-so-detailed island, a Citation III (made by Owl, painted for LIL'CRaMP by me) is on final approach to Lajes Field.

Four more islands and this Azores map that I started over two years ago will be finished.

Wow. If you could do the Balearic Islands, I would praise ya. Seriously. (And I know, this belongs in requests).

This will probably be my last map. I have two more islands (and two more airports) to finish this one.

Regarding the ground object in the bg of the picture, might we see one of those in a pack someday?

I decided to work on another map. The islands around Guam. I did Saipan first. The locals must enjoy golf.

I had planned to try my hand at doing Guam, but I haven't been able to get
the map editor to function on my computer for some reason. It keeps
telling me that; "There Were Errors" whenever I attempt to Save a .fld file.
I may get to do a map yet, but I'll gladly step aside to let your practiced
hand coax Guam into being. I know one was done earlier, but I haven't
been able to figure out how to make it work.

If your running Windows Vista or 7, make sure you run the program as the administrator - should fix the problem. ;)
