YSFLIGHT biggest planes

Post by bernholm » Thu Dec 22, 2011 4:46 am

post a picture of your biggest plane here. NOTE: you cannot make an add-on plane real quick (e.g. you can't make a huge 100kmx100kmx100km box and say "THAT'S MY PLANE". If you want you can make a nice big plane (try to keep it under 5 miles in largest measurement - length, height or wingspan) and put the download link to the little add-on in your post. Note: it has to actually fly, and fly well.

Here is a link to the picture of my biggest plane! (actually there are SIX of them )

XP-03 Sventovit http://ysflight.booru.org/index.php?pag ... view&id=39

Wingspan: almost 2 miles
Length: 2.2 KM
Max speed ~1200 kts
Pack: Usagi

It's dubbed the "Answerer", I think. It was posted on the BBS on CEP or Oranleed I think. That thing could take over 9000 bullet strikes before it fell down.

The smaller ones are more agile and more dangerous, although if that thing at the top of the page was real, that would be sick.

Maybe it is because it doesn't work that way. The larger they are, the more
massive they are. The larger the mass, the more square-footage of airfoil
you need. The larger the wing, the longer it takes to maneuver it.
One must first win over inertia. Granted, you can tell the software anything
you want; but to be realistic, creating larger planes and expecting them to
perform like the smaller version just won't work; same kind of problem one
would have in attaining the speed of light, our current understanding of
physics doesn't allow us to.
