Join us on Saturday, March 17th for the first virtual air show of 2012, the YS NAF El Centro Air Show presented by YS Air Shows. Located in the beautiful Imperial Valley, NAF El Centro has served the United States Navy for decades operating as a desert oasis for training operations and squadrons. The YS NAF El Centro Air Show will feature aerobatic, military, and group performance displays. Excitement and entertainment is a pure given as we move into the new year. We look forward to serving the YSFlight and YSFHQ community with top-notch aerial entertainment.

Those wishing to fly at the 2012 edition of the event will need to fill out the following form. Please make yourself familiar with the new YS Air Shows guidelines before submitting. A separate entry is required for each display. Solo displays are limited to two (2) per person. Currently, you may register two military demonstrations if desired, however we prefer that one of the two would be aerobatic. But this is not required.

Group/Team performances consisting of two (2) or more participants are unlimited, and you can receive credit for the display, too! While this is still in the works, a new system is currently under development that will begin very soon. More details to come and organized teams will be able to benefit from flying in this event for the future. We will not be accepting replays for this event unless it is something that is a must and needs to be approved by YSAS officials. This new rule allows for the creation and execution of live aerial display teams.

The show will begin approximately 11:00AM CST or 12:00PM EST (5:00 PM GMT) and will run for around 3 hours. Teamspeak 3 will be provided with the official YSFHQ TS server for professional narration and music. While being on Teamspeak is not required, it is highly recommended to be familiar with changes and the show's itinerary.

The show will be using a most up-to-date network console for the server. This is usually compatible with any YSFlight versions but may have some defects. We recommend the newest version currently available at http://www.ysflight.com.

I'm using the Charlie model. M4ve made an actual VFA-106 demo Hornet (grey) years ago I might use, and might use the Centennial one that's in the poster. Not sure yet.

The base is in the city of El Centro in southern California, next to the boarder of Mexico. Many cities in southern California have Spanish origins.
