[AIRCRAFT] Dutch F-16 Demoteam V 1

Post by aeTIos » Mon Jan 23, 2012 12:21 am

[mod=Dutch F-16 Demoteam V 1][previmg]http://img.removedfromgame.com/imgs/Demoteam01.bmp[/previmg]
[moddesc=http://www.filehosting.org/file/details ... m_v001.zip]** This is NOT the final version **
I like the design of the dutch F-16 demoteam plane, and I threw it on the default F-16. This is the result, which is not too bad I guess (its my first repaint)
More screenies:

This is the original:

Oh, and the tail lights are a bit off ;)[/moddesc]
[instmod]Unzip everything into your ./aircraft folder, overwriting any files that throw errors.[/instmod][/mod]

To Do List:
1-Make Cockpit better
2-Improve the wheels
3-Decals
4-Anything you like including smokewinders on the tip and the lion O.o

I am continuing with this version. I'll throw all my blender skills (not super much but yeah "übung macht der Meister") and see what I can make from it.

suggestion for next time, don't use 0 0 0 as a color for your plane.
This thread will explain why.

Did I do then? :o I used 0.02/0.02/0.02 on a scale from 0-1 (blender colors)

Might want to brighten that up just a bit. if it's too dark sometimes when you make the conversion to YS you'll lose some finer control over your colors. Or at least this is the case when i do conversions to YS's native 24bit color system

Okay. What color should I use instead, then?

Thanks. I noticed a bug, though: when you are on a big(ish) distance, the normal F-16 pops out... I don't know what causes this, does anyone have an idea?

**facepalm**
I know what caused the bug. I use the stock f-16 coarse model :\

Bah, I dont feel like repainting the whole coarse model too. Is there a way to use the repaint I already made for the coarse model? (i hopehope so)

You don't need to have one, it is a good thing when your planes are of an insane quality, but in your case it is a bit overkill. To get rid of it, just delete the coarse file altogether (from the pack and the .lst file). If you DO want a coarse model anyway, check this.

Yes you can. You cal also just delete the coarse file itself, because it won't be used anymore..
