...i'm probably gonna have to introduce myself as well, do i?
Well I'm ETNU, some of you might remember me from things such as Saloha and just general messing about such as the YSWAR with Skipper or some software i wrote around YS. If you don't i guess that's fine too.
I've been away for quite some years now - 2 or 3 maybe and i'm not really planning to make a full on comeback but i guess it isn't a bad idea just to be around on these forums from time to time.
Any questions?

It's great to have some of the old veterans starting to come back; and it's a great time to be coming back,
if you haven't noticed yet, the newest test-release has just been opened for some of our Test-Pilots to begin
breaking open so some of the bugs can be uncovered. Anytime I've seen TF58 or Shutter, or BombCat, etc.
mention you by name its always been respectful to you as a creator of some aspects of YSFlight, and its good
to see some things coming full-circle. Kick your shoes off and stay awile, we may be able to learn something also.

Thank you
So i was thinking about getting the GAF back up. I have a server in reserve that i can use, meaning it would be on 24/7. I've been experimenting around a bit and there seems to be a lot of things that have to be adjusted in order to run it all properly on a linux machine. I'm just wondering if i should use the YSPS thing or just a standard YS server like in the old days since i'm not too sure if it is actually stable enough to run for weeks without maintenance. If i were to open it again it would probably be mostly unmoderized because i don't really have the time to look over it every day.

I heard that YSPS has more lag than a server without, and many servers here don't use it.

That'd be sick
YSPS has the features but really slows a server down (does for me at least). I just use YSC on 42South.
If you haven't seen it yet, Flake is working on a new server proxy system here:
