I must of not made my self clear, so I am sorry. I was just defining the designated airspace that we will be allowed to use.Kilo 11 wrote:
Radiatordude, the aerobatic box was determined weeks ago by the YS Airshows Staff. See the first post.

Wow! Nicely done. It must of been hard fitting such large aircraft in the back of that. I'll be flying a Globetrotter as well, it has Canadian livery.
Try not to double post, if you have more to say then edit your post. (Vandal)

And how do you guys like this boundary layout of the airshow airspace. It extends about 500 or so feet from the bottom left to accommodate approach lights and landing pattern.
We don't put in airspace regulations - we have complete control of the server (thus airspace) so we don't need any special NOTAMS, TFR's, etc. Usually a ring of around 5 miles circular of show center is what is required, however aerobatic flight (past 60 degree of bank) can only be executed in the actual aerobatic box which is showcased on the diagram on the first page.

@Radiatordude, I can't find those B-25 you have there on your photo and I installed the Downinflames pack. Any idea or is it another pack man?
Re: [MARCH 17] YS NAF El Centro Air Show
Anybody else downloaded this pack yet? Check for the B-25J if so, thank you.

The two B-25s in your earlier screenshot are from the YS Major pack.Radiatordude wrote:That's weird I don't know why it shouldn't be on there. Let me look into it.

I have updated the first post with the correct D/L link.

OH..... Ok, I hope everyone updates that pack, unless, I will just use Down in Flames B-25... Thanks for updating it because I was confused if I had the right pack.

That's why I never install new Windows releases. Too bad you'll miss the show.Dragonheart R1 wrote:Guys, I have a problem. I downloaded the Windows 8 Consumer Preview the other day, and now YSFlight lags like hell. It's a video issue that affects all of the games I have. Therefore, as much as I hate it, I must withdraw from this year's airshow lineup. Sorry guys.

Not even a replay?VNAF ONE wrote:Well guys this looks like it will turn out to be an amazing show! I wish I could be present to see the event for myself however I cannot. I wish all of you the best of luck in your performances and I hope everyone, flying or not, has plenty of fun watching and/or being a part of the show. You all should be thankful of your organizers and hosts of this event and support the aerobatic community to excite more shows in the future. I'll be there next time to see how things look this year. Have fun!

Re: [MARCH 17] YS NAF El Centro Air Show
The Blackburn Buccaneer from 208 Sqn Royal Air Force has landed at NAF El Centro for this weekends Air Show. They arrived with with a bang displaying the Buccaneers famous high speed low pass to the early birds already camping around the air base. After making it back to the ground the crew said they where "Looking forward to the air show", and "getting the crowd on their feet as we fly so low we create a dust storm in our wake".

The Buccaneer painted in the same paint scheme that was used on the Buccaneers first state side visit back in 1977 when they took part in the USAF's Red flag along side two Avro Vulcans. During Red Flag 77 they took their American allies by surprise with their aggressive low level flying of the sort that the Buccaneers and RAF pilots in particular specialised in. The USAF Aggressor pilots not able to get kills on the buccaneers, using soviet style flying at the time, they could not use look down shoot down capabilities meaning they had to get to the Buccaneers level and even if they could they where not able to catch the buccaneers.

The crew of the Buccaneer at El Centro this weekend want to show the public "what the buccaneer does best" and claim the award for lowest pass during the air show. They admitted that the Buccaneer "wasn't the best looking bird" but that it's capabilities and is "agility for such a large aircraft" would surpass everyone's expectations. One thing is for sure, is that this crew has no aspirations to become high flyers but rather grass cutters.

Thanks buddy! This will be my first airshow. I am a really good pilot and hope to do good and to leave my footprint on the history of YSF flying!
Wish you could make it,
