Active Display Teams
I was wondering how many active Display Teams there are. If you have a active Display Tean please reply to this post. If you would like to start up a display team post here as well.
Regards,
Lux.

Re: Active Display Teams
Now I know why everyone wants more demo teams, and then eventually airshows. Scarecrow and I are going to talk and work about Display Teams and Air Shows to make the YS Airshows better.
Hope that everyone is into make YS Airshows more realistic and better. Please comment on this.

Lux.

Re: Active Display Teams
I'd say 10 - 13 as the maximum. Anything more is beginning to get unrealistic even though I have seen pilots pull 15G its not very common.VNAF ONE wrote:One of VNAF's future aims and also supposedly my part in YSAS is to improve and ensure the realistic or at least reliable quality in our air shows. This means that we can hopefully have some type of quality control to make our air shows more realistic and eliminate the "impossible" performances with 15+ G-pulling displays.

Re: Active Display Teams
Some people are questioning the "fun" in making aerobatics realistic. We are not trying to get a 100% realistic. We are trying to stop people from doing really unrealistic shows like as VNAF ONE said:
Thats it.VNAF ONE wrote:At that point, it's no longer about the pilot as it becomes a factor of the plane itself. Most aircraft are not even built to sustain more than 9 or 10 g's besides some aerobatic planes. At that point, aircraft will begin to take damage and even break apart. Whether the pilot can survive it or not, the aircraft may be the deciding factor. So when someone gets into a stock Thunderbird and pulls multiple 15G turns, that's highly unrealistic and basically becomes all YS.

Re: Active Display Teams
Good to know but don't worry about it. When VNAF hosts Air Shows, we will have quality control. Also, some changes within the air show itself will change like the quality, standards, preparedness, etc... Be ready for the changes of fun and exciting airshows YSFlight!

Thats what we are doing!Omni wrote:If you don't want people abusing the G-limit, why don't you just turn blackout on? If you know what your doing you can still make a tight enough turn, and blackout adds to the realism.
