Repainting my 747

Post by Taskforce 58 » Fri Oct 26, 2012 2:03 pm

For the past few years I've been observing various modders joining the YS scene, and it occurs to me now that the average modding/repainting skill has advanced to a point that my previous requirement of previewing/approving of your mod of my 747 has become unnecessary. So from now on if you want to release a paint/mod of my 747, go ahead and do it, no need to ask me for approval any more. Just like the rest of my work, just credit me in your release posting is good enough. I trust that you will not seriously @#$% up my work.

And if you happened to have submitted a work for my review and still haven't heard from me, just go ahead and release it.

Also, someone in the past has inquired about a 747-200. I think you can make do with just taking the E-4B and take out the extra bits such as antennas, the satcom housing on the top, and the refuel door housing on the nose. You may need to swap the engines with the correct ones (e.g. the RRs).

As you can see from le awesomely drawn picture overhead, you're missing le point. TF58 said you can paint his 747 and release it without having to take permission, not make it flying pink cotton candy.

:3. The woosh has been doubled. Anyway, I guess I better get started on that PIA 747 again >_>.

P.S: I really would like a pink 747.

Well, enough of that nonsense. Allowing repaints of his awesome 747 just gives us more opportunities to see great addons.

Anyways, thumbs up for the newly updated policy, TF58. I'll cerainly be looking forward to more 747 repaints in the near future.

Only real issue with that malaysia paint is the gradients. You should give it a shot if you want it, it can be faked with gradual fading of poly colors on a subdivided area.
