Some more Simple Airliners

Post by Turbofan » Mon Dec 17, 2012 4:13 pm

If anyone has the time and wants/would like to do some commercial repaints, I was wondering if you would do some repaints of TF58's Simple Airliners (the 747-400s). A few ones that haven't already been done for the simple airliners, like these would be cool:

-DL
-AF (latest colour scheme)
-Corsairfly, another French carrier: photo
-Virgin Atlantic (latest colour scheme)
-Kalitta Air Photo

I realize two of these liveries have already been done but they're on the more detailed 747s, the reason I'm requesting the Simple Airliners is that they have just the right balance between detail and simplicity that allows them to be used in air traffic replays with many other planes. Again, this is only if anyone has the time and would like something to do. There is no time limit or anything, just whenever. :) Only thing is I would just like the liveries, kindly do not add windows or anything else on the planes.

My general rant: I will call them blended winglets, not Sharklets; There is no CEO, it's just simply put, an Airbus 319/320/321, or the 320NEO, 321NEO etc. I didn't land IN OKC, I landed AT OKC. On the other hand, I did land in Oklahoma City.

^No of course not, a Simple Airliners 744 would look pretty neat in the Alaska colourscheme. It didn't have 74s but in the virtual world we can sometimes get fancy eh?

Here is what me and Dave have done :)
P.s We discovered a slight problem with the landing gear animation on exporting, though I'm sure we can sort something out about it.

Wow, I didn't expect such a quick response. But, THAT is awesome! A minor detail, if you could add the "twist" at the lower end of all the tail stripes on the AF jet (just like you did for the fuselage one-like here, at any rate though, great work!

Zak all you have been trying to do today on TS3 and now it seems on here is annoy Dan and Dave over the airliners, you copied their srf of the logo on one of them without permission earlier and used it on a model of yours and have been harassing them on TS. This can't go on.....

EDIT: - This is not about whether they are high detail or low lag but about just repainting airliners. Don't try and detrail the topic please as it can get on peoples nerves

I would also like to point out, What do YOU know about high detail?

Quality control hasn't been a strong point for you.

I will side with Animals Ideals (for once) on this.

zak-please try to stick to the topic. And yes I requested the Simple Airliners for a reason which I explained very clearly in my post at the top.

Back on topic we go...

Hey TF, me and Dan have finished most of the airliners requested, but there is one problem. The landing gear changes position whenever it is imported into blender.I got some screenshots after the jets were exported so you can see what I am on about . If anyone with better modding knowledge can help fix the gears, it would be great. ;)

^I'm not the expert on these things by any means, but could it be just a correction on the gear position in the .dat file? Also, is it just changing position only when imported into Blender and reversing itself in the sim or it's getting screwed up and staying that way?

Sorry for long reply. Yes, me and Dan found that it only changes position in blender, and it stays that way after it is exported. This problem is also shown in the sim and it stays that way. Its only the landing gear, it doesn't affect the rest of the aircraft. its like as if it has been moved up somehow. strange
